Žilinský útulok a aktuálne príbehy dobrovoľníctva
Žilinský útulok o.z. je nezisková organizácia, ktorá pomáha opusteným a týraným psíkom. Za to, že Žilinský útulok existuje, patrí veľká vďaka hlavne rodine Orčíkovcov a zvlášť Soni, ktorá sa snažila svoj sen naplniť a jej otcovi, ktorý jej k tomu pomohol a poskytol pozemok a financoval celú výstavbu útulku. Majiteľom útulku je Soňa Orčíková, ktorá aj riadi jeho činnosť. Útulok môže svoju činnosť vykonávať vďaka mnohým našim fanúšikom a zároveň darcom, sponzorom, mediálnym partnerom a veterinárnej ambulancii, kde nám robia všetky operačné zákroky s výraznou zľavou a tak môžeme pomôcť väčšiemu počtu psíkov.
Útulok bol oficiálne otvorený v apríli 2011, kedy začala platiť aj zmluva medzi útulkom a mestom Žilina o odchyte a umiestňovaní opustených a túlavých psov v našom útulku. Mesto Žilina prispieva na psíkov odchytených psovodom MP Žilina po dobu 60 dní, ale mnohí hafani sú u nás oveľa dlhšie, kým im nájdeme nový domov. Niektorí sú u nás krátko, ale niektorí u nás boli aj viac ako rok a rekord drží Zak, ktorý u nás bol viac ako dva roky.
V našom útulku psíkov neutrácame!! O hafanov sa každý pracovný deň stará zamestnankyňa mesta Janka, ktorá je však zároveň aj ako dobrovoľník, pretože sa o hafanov stará aj nad rámec svojich pracovných povinností a pracovnej doby. Hafani v útulku však majú starostlivosť zabezpečenú aj v hodinách mimo pracovnej doby a počas voľných dní a sviatkov, kedy sa o nich starajú na úkor svojho voľného času naši dobrovoľníci, čo je skutočne náročná práca a zaberá veľa času.
Dobrovoľníci zároveň dávajú psíkom veľa lásky, pozornosti a spríjemňujú im čakanie na nový domov. Tam nájdete aj fotoalbumy všetkých psíkov, ktorí sú v útulku pripravení na adopciu, nájdených psíkov, ktorým hľadáme ich pôvodných majiteľov, aj adoptovaných a vrátených psíkov. The relief organizations BRH Bundesverband Rettungshunde (Hünxe) and I.S.A.R. Germany (Duisburg) have sent 53 tons of humanitarian aid to the conflict zone since the war broke out in Ukraine. The supplies were first transported by trucks to a warehouse in Poland and subsequently to the city of Zhytomyr, which is located around 100 kilometers (or 62 miles) away from Kyiv. In the city, I.S.A.R. members participated in delivering the humanitarian aid to a maternity clinic, a day-care center, and the local authority. The city has already been the target of multiple attacks, which has also resulted in damage to the maternity clinic.

Jede einzelne Aufgabe ist so wertvoll wie Gold und doch unbezahlbar. Jede Aufgabe greift in die nächste: Vom ersten Telefonat bei der Abgabe eines Hundes, über die Fahrketten, die Pflegestellen und ihre Betreuer, bis hin zum Sichtbarmachen unserer Vierbeiner, die Vor- und Nachkontrollen, die Körbchen auf Lebenszeit, die Betreuung nach der Adoption und die vielen „unsichtbaren“ helfenden Hände, die uns alle unterstützen.
